Baptism is the beginning of our faith and our gateway into the Church.  It is the first of three Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and Eucharist being the other two).  Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.

Baptisms should be scheduled at least 6 weeks prior to the event. 

"Confession is an act of honesty and courage - an act of entrusting ourselves, beyond sin, to the mercy of a loving and forgiving God"  (St. Pope John Paul II).

In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, through God's mercy and forgiveness, the sinner is reconciled with God and also with the Church, Christ's Body, which is wounded by sin." (Catechism of the Catholic Church).

​Confessions rotate between the three parishes; please consult the parish calendar to see where they are being heard. Confessions are also heard approximately 30 minutes before each weekend Mass and by appointment.

The Eucharist is one of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism and Confirmation being the other two).  The Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ.  As Catholics, we truly believe the Eucharist is the source of the Christian life.

"The Sunday celebration of the Eucharist is at the heart of the Church's life"  (Catechism of the Catholic Church)  Mass times are: Saturday (Vigil) 6:30 pm (at either St. Mary's or St. Anthony's; consult the parish calendar), 9 am (at either St. Mary's or St. Anthony's; consult the parish calendar), 10:30 am (Mountain at St. Joseph's-Tribune) and 5:30 pm (Spanish Mass, St. Anthony's).

Daily Mass is offered at 8 am T (St. Joseph's, Mountain Time) and W, Th (St. Anthony's), followed by Eucharistic Adoration until 10:30 am and F (St. Mary's).

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the last of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism and Eucharist being the other two).  Through this sacrament, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church as witnesses of Christ through word and deed, equipping them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church.

​At Western Kansas Catholic parishes, the Sacrament of Confirmation is conferred on our youth once every two years, after a year-long period of preparation for 7th- and 8th-graders.  For more details about our Confirmation program, please contact the parish office.

​Engaged couples must begin the marriage preparation process at least six months prior to the intended wedding date.  During this time, the couple will complete the necessary paperwork and fulfill all marriage preparation requirements.  This will include extended visits with the pastor, an Engaged Encounter conference/retreat, discussions about Natural Family Planning (NFP) and an online marriage preparation module. "Is anyone among you sick?  He should summon the presbyters of the Church, and they should pray over him and anoint (him) with oil in the name of the Lord"  (James 5:14).

Through the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, Christ offers comfort and strength to persons who are suffering from a serious illness or near death.  In this sacrament of healing, recipients are able to pray for healing of the body in addition to the spiritual healing of the soul that comes with the forgiveness of sins.
